I have bought a few other books on Aromatherapy‘>Aromatherapy, over the years, which have given me an introduction into Aromatherapy‘>Aromatherapy. None of them compare to the books by Valerie Ann Worwood! I just bought her books “The Fragrant Mind” and “The Complete Book of Essential Oils & Aromatherapy‘>Aromatherapy“, and they are wonderfully informative as well as a pleasure to read. I highly recommend both of these books for anyone who is interested in learning all that they can about Aromatherapy‘>Aromatherapy. Focusing on “The Fragrant Mind”, it is an amazing book! There is so much wonderful information, great recipes for various blends, a fun and enlightening look at the the different invdividual personality types and the different essential oils personality profiles, not to mention wonderful Quick Reference Charts. This book does so much more than tell about a couple of uses for a few basic essential oils, it shows how essential oils can truly effect our emotional state. It also helps explain why we are drawn more to certain scents, and how our personality plays a big role in this. This book is definitely a must have!

It is a good synthesis of history, chemistry, safety issues, experience, basic science, some of the most current clinical research, clinical applications and more. I’m surprised this item hasn’t gone “mainstream” yet, it is still somewhat associated with health food stores. This air freshener is as strong or subtle as you want because you add the essential oils. And the fragrances are fantastic - you can find everything from citrus, cinnamon, floral, pine, and blends. This just plugs right into your car’s lighter outlet and is small and unobtrusive. I picked this up because I was tired of those tree and jar shaped car fresheners flapping around long after they had stopped emitting fragrance. Can’t recommend it enough!

We use this product with essential oils to freshen the car and to keep us alert the natural way. There are no poisonous chemicals.(Since we drive alot ) A great mix for alertness is to add a few drops of cinnamon oil with a few drops of peppermint oil…it works great.

Customer Review: Smells great, even when not heated
I have used many heat wraps, especially those heated by microwaving… and this one smells great. I got hooked with Dreamtime products when I got a little kit from them that included a candle, spray, etc… but that was a smaller wrap than this one. Also, this wrap has little pockets that keep the grains evenly distributed along its length. Its cover is velvety soft and looks good, too…when left on the bed or couch after use.
Customer Review: Greatly Relaxing
If you haven’t tried a neck / body wrap before, then I highly recommend it. In essence these wraps can warm you up when you’re cool, cool you down when you’re warm, and snuggle against you at any other time. The wrap consists of an inner core that has quilted pockets of rice. The outer layer is a soft lavender velvet cloth. You can take out that inner core if you need to wash the outer area. You can microwave the inner core to warm it up, which makes an excellent muscle relaxant. This is *perfect* if you have a sore neck and shoulders and want to ease them. On the other hand if you have a headache or muscle cramp, you can plunk that inner core into the freezer to cool it down, and it works wonderfully in that way as well. When I put the wrap around my neck, first of all, it feels fantastic. It’s soft, snuggly, warm, and it really does warm you all up very quickly. Even better, though, when you roll your head back against the rice-grain-filled cloth, it feels fantastic. It’s very soothing, and you can just sit there for 5-10 minutes rolling your head from side to side and enjoying the sensation. I even love the aroma mix. There is primarily cloves and cinnamon, plus a hint of eycalyptus. It gives you a comfy, snuggly feeling. I imagine that over time the scent will fade away, but I suppose that is easy enough to fix with some spice jars. The texture of the wrap is just SO nice that I won’t mind at all refilling the scents if they fade. Highly recommended!

The package for the oils said (1) Refreshing; (1) Soothing; and (1) Unscented. If only it were so! The refreshing and soothing oil fragrances are nice and light, and the oil is very nice to work with, but the unscented oil was somehow left out and we received the exotic oil instead. BLECK! “Exotic” means “reeks of patchouli.” I decided to go ahead and enjoy the two bottles I like rather than go through Amazon’s return process, but I paid for three bottles of oil and only received two I can use.

This is such a fun book - the artwork that decorates every page is terrific, the writing style is fun, and while I’ve only played with a few recipes so far - I can definitely say so far so good! The book opens with an intro to faeries, the flowers of faeries, and essential oils. The it gets to drying flowers/herbs (I actually buy mine but plan to expand the gardens next spring so I might be doing some rdying next summer). There’s general info on making potpourri in here like using fixatives to keep the scents etc. Then there’s a great one-pager that lists the different plants and the type of scent they have so you can be creative if you want too. The recipes comprise the rest of the book and they have great names like “christmas magic”, “dance of the morning nymphs” etc. On the facing page to each recipe is a little text of faerie lore pertaining to different plants that were used in the recipe. The recipes are broken out by season so as you welcome the changes of the year you can make a corresponding potpourri. The results are pretty and smell nice too.

the book is just a bit too cutesy, and doesn’t really fit in any category. It is certainly not a guide to scent or perfume blending, nor is it a book about aromatherapy. I regret spending the money on it, and plan to offer it used for the price of shipping.

I can’t say enough positive things about Plantlife soaps. I came to natural soaps for a very specific reason–a husband whose eczema was virtually out of control. For years, we’d tried keeping him on soaps designed for sensitive skin. While this would generally calm flare-ups slightly, it wouldn’t prevent them from creeping up again. Admittedly, since beginning to use Plantlife’s soaps, my husband is NOT eczema free… BUT his skin is drastically improved and his flare-ups are down to about 10% of what they once were. The scents of Plantlife’s soaps are remarkably pleasant too. I’ve yet to find one that is offensive to my nose–they’re delicately done, not over-powering or too “perfume-y.” So if you’re thinking of switching to herbal soaps to treat your skin to the best, most natural clean possible–try some Plantlife soaps. If you’re simply looking for some aromatherapy or some way to mix-up your usual soap routine–try some Plantlife soaps. I’d be willing to bet that if you returned to “normal,” store-bought soaps afterwards, you’d do so grudgingly and reluctantly!

Customer Review: cute but not for infants
This stuffed animal is very cute and soft, plus I like that it has a lavender scent that isn’t too strong (you actually have to put your face up to it to smell this). I got it for my 8 month old son, but I will wait to give it to him since it’s bigger than I thought. I just put it in his crib when he’s awake or not in there so the scent can transfer to his crib, then remove it for bedtime. The fur material is nice and doesn’t “shed” like some other stuffed animals out there even when my son pulls on it or tries to put it in his mouth. I recommend this, but for older kids like maybe at least 2 or 3 yrs old. For now, I’m the one cuddling w/ it at night:)
